Synergy A - Error Messages Solutions

If you are using the Synergy A device and you come across an error message, there may be solutions to it that you can apply before contacting support. Please look at the guide below.

Fingerprint Unit busy

Problem- The device is performing a sync to update itself.

Solution - This message usually goes away when the sync is complete then you can proceed to use the device normally.

No Free Finger

Problem - This occurs on the device when someone else has already taken the specific number you use to register an employee.

Solution - To solve this, delete the other employee enrolled with that number before registering a new employee.

Error 7

Problem - This usually comes up when an employees fingerprint not recognised - it usually means that the fingerprint quality is low. Employees getting this error need to be re-enrolled with higher quality finger templates.

Solution - Delete the employee from device and enrol as normal. It is recommended that you re-enrol the affected employee with a different finger.

Badge Read Error

Problem - This error means that the employee's finger is not recognised as being in the template list.

Solution - Ensure that the employee is using the correct finger. Re-enrol the employee if the error persists.

Unknown Code

Problem - If the reading is not above the minimum requirement of 85% this means it is not accurate.

Solution - Re-enrol the employee to resolve.

PSU

Problem - Power Supply Unit, not for PoE (Power over Ethernet) clocks. If the PSU has a fault, the clock may not stay on and needs to be switched on constantly for employees to clock in/clock out

Solution - For Fourth customers send and complete the checklist. An engineer call-out may be required. All customers contact Synel Technical Support.

Error No.9 FPU

Problem - This error means that the memory is full

Solution - An engineer call-out will need to be arranged to 'load the Fourth project' on the clock as FPU is not communicating with the main board.

MEM Crash

This error requires an engineer call-out to resolve.
