This is to inform you all that when we (usually workshop) loads default Factory Image on Face devices to restore them, it erases the correct MAC address of the device and will write whatever is in the image file. Therefore if multiple devices are repaired than most likely they all have the same MAC address 00:0C:5B:06:3B:4E

If you ever come across any such devices, please do not use it with live customers. It must be fixed prior to using it. See instructions below:

Burn Factory Image onto MicroSD Card

Very important: You must note down the Serial no and MAC address of the device before proceeding any further. If for any reason, you cannot get MAC address of the device, please send email address to Workshop with correct serial no so that we can be forward to Synel Israel who can provide us with correct MAC address of the device.

  1. Open the back case
  2. Remove MicroSD card
  3. Format the MicroSD card using software called "SD Formatter"
  4. Write the Factory default image to Micro SD card using software called "Win 32 Disk Imager" Image can be downloaded from https://drive.google.com/open?id=1C5AN6eJ2ANaAvUwAWXa8BPgbMlpdBLnN
  5. Insert the MicroSD card in slot and power on the device
  6. Keyboard functions will be distorted. OUT key = menu

Update device with the latest firmware via USB stick

Latest Firmware attached

Restore the MAC address of the device

  1. Open attached parameter.txt
  2. Replace the MAC address and Serial number in the file (Format must remain same) and copy it to root folder of USB Stick
  3. Plug in the USB stick
  4. Key-in ESC 1 5 9 3 5 7 ENT. This will open Advanced Menu
  5. Select option 1. Generate SN/MAC. This will copy the corresponding parameters to the device from USB stick
