SY910 Face Firmware with NAND not SD Card

Hi All,

This is to inform you all that Synel have removed the need for MicroSD card and have moved everything to NAND (similar to Synergy A Devices) on Face 910. We have already received the first batch of Face 910 with NAND

Therefore, when using the new device type, please make sure you install following on devices:

Install Patch 1

File attached and also on H:\Synergy Workforce\Synergy Face\SY 910\Firmware with Webservice 2\Stable\Firmware update via USB Stick\NAND Devices

Installation is same as upgrading the firmware on device. Use the same process. It will take longer, around 5 minutes to complete the process.

If you don't have this patch installed, as soon as you insert the webservice URL with https:\\, device will freeze immediately

If device is frozen, unplug network cable and reboot. Install the patch and let it reboot

Check on screen to make sure the device has following displayed on screen: Patch:1 EMMC:true (NAND enabled device)

If all good, plug in the network cable and reboot the device

Install Firmware F910-UK210603E

In the meantime, we are in process of developing the change and testing so that whole Synel Group can use the same firmware across the board
