Synergy A 4G

I have just tested Synergy A Suprema with 4G SIM card working with TimeLOG Web

• Device must have firmware 30525 or newer uploaded on it
• Device must have Synel SGA loaded on it (Standard that comes from Synel)

How to setup device?

Create a file called "gprs.cnfg" and load onto the root of the USB stick File contains the APN name of the provider. You must find out the APN depending on the SIM card provider and insert it in the file

Plug in the USB stick and bootup the device At this stage make sure device is connected to Power Supply and Ethernet cable

Depending on the IP address allocated from DHCP via Ethernet cable, use that IP address to change settings on device via web browser

• Allocate device id
• Client id ( I suggest using DHCP mode only in TLW)
• Webservice settings to point to right server

Login to device via WinSCP and upload necessary AppProperties.xml file

Go to Menu - option 2 (Communication) - Option 2 (GPRS) - option 5 (GPRS Provider) - Option 4 (Load from DOK)

Let it load the file from USB stick so that correct APN provider is assigned

Insert 4G SIM card at the back of terminal

Go to Menu - option 2 (Communication) - Option 2 (GPRS) - option 1 (Enable GPRS)

Device will enable the GPRS settings and apply the APN Device will reboot. At this stage, remove the ethernet cable Ethernet will get disabled automatically

Let the device reboot, and you should see icon with 2 arrows (opposite to each other) Red/green appearing on Top left corner of the screen If device communicates with SIM provider successfully, the icon will change

You can also see further information within Menu - option 2 (Communication) - Option 2 (GPRS) - Option 3 (GPRS IP Information)

Since you already had the Webservice and Device settings done previously, the device should start sending heartbeat to the respective server. Rest you can activate the device in TLW and you should also see ONLINE Globe appearing
