SY711 to SY715 - Create and Clear Memory Crash Procedures
1. Clear Memory Crash
- Press 6 times on the F2 key (SY711) or the 0 key (SY715). An asterisk will appear for each time that this key is pressed.
- Press once on the F4 key (SY711) or the ENTER key (SY715).
- Press 3 times on the OUT key.
- Press twice on the F2 key.
- Press 3 times on the OUT key. The message CLEAR MEMORY? will appear on the display.
- Press once on the F2 key for confirmation. The message MEMORY CLEARED will appear on the display. If you make an error during steps 3 through 6, the terminal will revert to the state just prior to step 3. If you find yourself unable to complete this operation, exit the technician mode by pressing the IN key until F2/OUT appears on the display, then press the OUT key. Then begin again from step 1.
- Please re-program the terminal from Software.
2. Create Memory Crash
- Unplug the terminal and make sure that it is off. The backup battery automatically supplies power for approximately 15 seconds.
- Unscrew and remove the front panel.
- Move the J4 jumper (1) from the BT position to Z.
- Plug the terminal back into a power source and make sure that MEM CRASH appears in the terminal display.
- Unplug the terminal and return the J4 jumper to its original position (BT).
- Plug the terminal back into a power source and make sure that MEM CRASH reappears in the terminal display.
