How to remotely update a Synergy A

Works from any version, even from a version with SD card

You will need

• Remote access to the Synergy ie with Teamviewer to a local PC
• WINSCP (download from https://winscp.net/ )
• The upgrade files folder [Via Comm. Software] of the version you wish to upgrade to

In the folder [Via Comm. Software], open the file upgrade.rdy with Notepad

The upgrade.rdy tells you which files you need to upload to the synergy and to which folder to transfer them

Example: Here the file to transfer is 30600.tar.gz and the destination folder is the root folder of the synergy

For version 30600, the files to transfer and the destination folders/names are:

It is crucial to copy sys_command.sh last

As soon as you copy sys_command.sh, the upgrade will start

It will take a few minutes

The communication details, ID, name and web services are not lost

To transfer a file with WINSCP: Run Winscp, specify the synergy IP address, the port is 3735, the login is root, the password is synergy
