Setup SY Face 910 with Webservice Firmware
- Step 1: Upgrade device with Firmware version 2.912.GT180406 (very important) Extract the 2 files from the firmware folder and put it in the root of USB stick
- Step 2: Next update device with Firmware version 2.912.GT180410 Extract the 2 files from the firmware folder and put it in the root of USB stick
Important Note: Do not update devices other way around. If you do than device will get busted.
Having both firmware on 2 different USB device will make life lot easier for engineer (instead of copying and deleting files from the root of the USB stick for every clock)
Plug in USB stick
- Go to Menu
- Option 4 - USB Management
- Option 5 - Upgrade Firmware
- Wait for upgrade to finish
- Device will reboot, if it doesn't reboot it manually
Update device again with latest firmware and follow the steps above.
When device come back ON, you will need to select the language English.
Next
- Go to Menu
- Option 6 - System Info
- Option 2 - Product Info
Check the Firmware version - Must be same as what was uploaded
Take a note of MAC address and provide it to implementer so that it can be added on TLW GUI
Next we need to setup the device to make it work on Webservice
- Go to Menu
- Option 5 - System Settings
- Option 2 - Communication
- Option 1 - Network
- Option 2 - DHCP - Turn ON/OFF depending on customer. DHCP is supported as well
- Option 1 - Communication- Ethernet/WiFi - select the option based on client. WiFi supported as well
- If DHCP is ON - You will not get the option to insert Static IP address manually
Go back to System Settings option and select Option 5 - Advanced
- Option 6 - Webservices Option
- Option 3 - SYNEL
Insert the Server IP address of where the client sites is Hosted
Insert Webservice Port within Device Port
We use Port no 3636 for Face Webservice on all Farms
Client must allow traffic on Port no 3636
No port forwarding rules required
SY Face 910 Web service was developed based on our existing Synergy Web service Therefore we use the same codes for Swipe functions:

Therefore please make sure the Work Codes are defined accordingly on SY Face 910 device with Web service. Same applies within Device Type setup in TLW GUI
